Sebek for AtemswildRose

Wow! This was a pleasant surprise to see today, my friend! ^_^ What a lovely job on this Yu-Gi-Oh original character! My goodness! I think <img class="avatar" src="a.deviantart.net/avatars/a/t/a…" alt="" title="AtemswildRose" /> will adore this work! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/> I think what draws me in right away is the eyes. Though I always love the way you do such striking and diverse kinds of eyes, these in particular seem to be staring straight at the viewer, in a piercing but somehow innocent way. I don't know about the character's history, but I suppose that could be a good or bad thing, in terms of the intent. Maybe the look is meant to draw someone in, to trust him. Or it could be that though he looks innocent, that smile may indicate something else entirely! He certainly looks intriquing and enigmatic! I also like the hair. It reminds me a little tiny bit of Yusei from Yugioh 5D but mainly due to the coloring. Truthfully, I like it much more than Yusei's though, as it's sort of a cross between the way Yusei, Yami and maybe even Marik's hair looks. I think that's a GOOD thing though, as he definitely has a Yu-Gi-Oh feel to him, which I think is so important and well executed! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

I also like the little marks under his eyes, which indicate his Egyptian origins. I also see that you're continuing to advance in your shading and highlight techniques, as the three dimensional quality is also pretty impressive in this work! I also like how you made the lips a bit more realistic as well! It's very very well done, my friend and you should be proud! I know you were worried about losing a bit of steam in the last week or so, but it sure doesn't look like it to me! You got right back on the horse and created an amazing piece of art!
