Hi all, I recently completed some portrait practice drawing inspiration and reference from Drachea Rannak's original character named Dead Rose. I hope you all like it!
I did use reference, so if the face looks familiar it's likely for that reason. I just googled images for portraits and picked the one with the lighting I was looking to achieve.Image size

I remember you posting this piece in our Facebook group chat, and thought that it looked pretty cool then too! 
I'm not familiar with Drachea's character, but I'll see if I can look it up a bit late. Even so, I think this is very well done, especially given the more realistic approach and the three dimensional look of the face in particular. I think the shading is especially good, especially around the eyes, the eyes themselves which have a LOT of life in them, and around the mouth too. I like the slight smirk of the character, which is VERY subtle, adding to the dark and perhaps even ominous look and feel of the image as a whole. I also look the bits of color within the hair on top, that also gives it a 3-D quality, while giving it a nice lighting effect, seeing as we can't see much color within the hair that is following behind him. Those eyes though! Really! It's like they're staring into your soul! 
Great job girl! I definitely see a lot of diversity in what you've been doing these past few months! Keep it up!
