My first piece since returning from vacation to Las Vegas, I hope you all like it! This is Haninozuka Mitsukuni, or as I think is probably more recognized as, Honey, from Ouran Host Club! ^_^ He is already so adorable and chibi looking that it was a little difficult to make him "chibified" xD
Originally, the roses were not in the piece. But what would a OHC piece be without roses or flowers of some sort?
I'm not particularly good at drawing flowers, so that was probably the most challenging and time consuming part of this.
*Drawn, inked, and colored in Photoshop CS5 using an Intuos 5 tablet. Est time 3 or so evenings of on/off work.

" title="XD"/> You've done a wonderful job capturing Honey's cuteness factor or even amplifying it, depicting him in chibi form. I love the touches of pink on the flesh tones, particularly on his rosy cheeks and his tiny hands. I commend you for adding fingernails as well, as I appreciate the attention to detail in this regard! ^_^ The eye is very striking, and I know that you wanted it to be, as we discussed during the process. " title=" (Smile)"/> I like the various shades of yellow in his hair, and of course I love the signature roses, which do look very accurate as depicted in anime in general. Kudos for the minor details, such as the drops of dew on the petals and the stems that seem to be sporting smaller pink buds or perhaps cherry blossoms. They're a nice contrast to the darker shades seen in the roses themselves, and they give a nice sense of movement from the top left corner, through the similar tint of red within Honey's mouth, down to the bottom right where the additional blossoms are.
